Child abuse is a broad term that describes an act (or acts) that endanger the physical or emotional health or development of a child. This resource sheet explores different categories of child abuse, prevalence and impacts of child abuse.

What Are the Warning Signs of Child Abuse?

Unfortunately, many children will not disclose their abuse because they fear the perpetrator. However, children suffering from abuse will exhibit warning signs either physically, or behaviourally, or both.
